Redgum Youth Coaching provides holistic support that integrates with — not replaces — other services in a young man's life. This means:

• Collaboration: We work alongside school wellbeing teams, therapists, counsellors, clinical services, and other professionals
• Coordination (with consent): With a young man's explicit permission, we communicate with other support services to ensure everyone is working toward aligned outcomes
• Complementary approach: Redgum coaching complements clinical treatment, therapy, and professional support — it is not a replacement for clinical care
• Holistic perspective: We see the young man in his full context — social, emotional, practical, relational — recognizing that genuine support happens across multiple domains and through multiple relationships

Scope of Practice

Redgum Youth Coaching is not a clinical service. We operate within the scope of youth coaching — supporting young men through psychosocial coaching, mentoring, and practical life skills development.

We are mindful of professional boundaries and the importance of scope of practice. We work collaboratively with clinical services, mental health professionals, school wellbeing teams, and other support services — never instead of them.

If a young man is experiencing mental health conditions, psychological distress, or clinical concerns that fall outside the scope of coaching, we are committed to:

• Recognising when clinical or professional input is needed
• Supporting appropriate referrals to qualified professionals
• Maintaining communication with other support services (with consent)
• Respecting the limits of coaching and prioritising the young man's wellbeing above all

Redgum Youth Coaching is not a crisis service. Our coaching is designed for ongoing personal development and support, not emergency intervention.
